Paraparaumu Doors & Joinery specialise in exterior timber windows. All our joinery units are custom made in our factory, sourced from the best timber, glass and accessories required for each individual job’s needs.
Options of exterior windows include:
Sliding Windows: A popular choice for windows adjacent to a narrow walkway or deck where there is limited space for a window to open outwards. Benefits include an increased airflow and large glass areas. Our sliding windows are bottom rolling and easy to operate when opening or closing.
Double Hung Windows: A traditional style of window consisting of two moving sashes: the bottom sash slides up and the top sash slides down when opening. Our double hung windows feature compression seals to minimise air leaks, allow for smooth operation and eliminate rattle.
Casement Windows: Hinged on either the left or right side and opening outwards. A major advantage of casement windows is that they provide great ventilation, directing airflow into the home and sealing well against outdoor New Zealand weather conditions.
Awnings: Hinged at the top and opening outward, awnings provide good airflow while protecting your interiors from unexpected rain whilst the window is open. The entire sash opens to maximise ventilation.
Bifolding Windows: Window systems made up of several folding sashes hinged together to unfold, maximising airflow and opening an area right up to the outside. Bifold windows can help you achieve a large, uninterrupted window opening.
Fixed Windows: Whenever an operational window is not required. You may have a space where more natural light is required, or a hard-to-reach spot where operational windows are not an option or necessity. Or you might just want to create a visual statement with a fixed window featuring some coloured glass.
