Custom-Made Timber Framed Windows
Our window joinery units are custom made in our factory, sourced from the best timber, glass and accessories required for each individual job. Whether you want to replace an existing window, or introduce a new style of window for better functionality in your home, Paraparaumu Doors & Joinery can create it.
Available window styles
Casement Windows
Side-hinged windows that open outward like a door. A major advantage of casement windows is that they provide great ventilation, directing airflow into the home.
Best for:
-
Traditional homes
-
Good ventilation

Awning Windows
Hinged at the top and opening outward from the bottom. Awning windows provide good airflow while protecting your interiors from unexpected rain whilst the window is open.
Best for:
-
Wet areas
-
Modern homes

Double Hung Windows
A traditional style of window with two sashes that slide vertically past each other. Our double hung windows feature compression seals to minimise air leaks, allow for smooth operation and eliminate rattle.
Best for:
-
Villas
-
Heritage homes

Sliding Windows
Horizontal sliding sashes. A popular choice for windows adjacent to a narrow walkway or deck where there is limited space for a window to open outwards. Benefits include an increased airflow and large glass areas.
Best for:
-
Tight spaces
-
Modern designs

Fixed Windows
Non-opening windows. You may have a space where more natural light is required, or a hard-to-reach spot where operational windows are not an option or necessity. Or create a visual statement with a fixed window featuring coloured glass.
Best for:
-
Feature walls
-
Stairwells

Bifold Windows
Window systems made up of several folding sashes hinged together to unfold, maximising airflow and opening an area right up to the outside. Bifold windows can help you achieve a large, uninterrupted window opening.
Best for:
-
Entertaining areas
-
Kitchen servery

Bay / Bow Windows
Project outward from the wall in a curved or angled shape. Used to add more natural light, create extra interior space for seating, enhance curb appeal, or architectural charm, and offer panoramic views, making rooms feel larger and brighter.
Best for:
-
Living rooms
-
Character homes

Fanlight Windows
A fanlight is a small window usually placed over a doorway or another window. It is sometimes semicircular in shape, with glazing bars radiating out like an open fan.
Best for:
-
Added light
-
Architectural detail
